An exciting thing that happened to me`

On 12th Feb afternoon, which is the 29th of Lunar calendar, I went to Chinatown with dozens of schoolmates and teachers. We had a very useful and helpful learning journey. This is the most exciting thing that happened to me recently.
We went to the only Indian temple in Chinatown which is called Sri Mariamman Temple. It was built in 1930 and it is also the oldest temple in Singapore. Unfortunally, it was closed. Therefore, we started our next activity: the amazing race about traditions of Chinese New Year. We were about to answer the questions on a piece of paper and all of them required us to find different things that are sold and used during CNY. We were divided into groups and i was with 3 sec3 seniors. After being told the instructions, we started to move with our teacher. The market in Chinatown were so interesting! Defferent type of tiger-shaped toys, paper-cuts, pineapple tarts, etc. As far as I could see, only one adjective was suitable to describe all these sights: dazzilling! I almost forgot that I should take photos of them and finish the work sheet. Smelling the fragrance of all the goodies, I said to my teammate:"How wonderful it would be if every single day is the day before Chinese New Year!"
At the end of the day, besides buying and eating all the decorations and food, we had also learnt a lot of things about CNY traditions such as we need to painrt our doors red and decorate our house with red colour decorations. This is realy a educational and helpful learning journey indeed! I had an exciting afternoon.
